What is everyone using to sand the bodies/paint. I have tried 1200 and it seems a little too much. I just bought some 1500, 2000 & 3M extra fine scuff pads. Am I going in the right direction? Also do you always use primer? Thank you

Dusted I like the sanding sticks I get at the hoddy shop, the same size as a small nail emeryboard, you can get a set of 5 in coarse, medium, fine, extra fine, and a special 3 in 1 that will even sand and buff out scraches, or glue markes in clear plastic glass. The name on mine is Squadron, I'm postive you will ifnd a grit to your liking there.

hi, i use the finger nail sanding boards at wal mart, they are the black ones with two grits on them, and no primer is not needed all the time just make sure that the color is dark enough to cover the body so you dont see thru the paint, about 3 coats, and i dont like enamel to long to dry, testors has some good paints now and fast drying and wet coat clear.
