Hello everyone. I just purchased a used HO dragstrip and have been checking out this forum and it is the best one I have found yet. I do have a few questions though. I see alot of beautiful cars on here and was wondering what for chassis you guys use for the different classes, i.e. Top fuel, Funnycar and Prostock. Any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks for your time.

Welcome to the gang and good question. So good it's hard to answer. Sam, our fearless leader of psychoslots.com made a wise decision early on to not try and regulate rules for everybody. Otherwise you always make somebody mad. Like me who had a small length of room when I put my track together and therefore can't run with the H.O.D.R.A. guys who only run 21'-6" races. Same with power supplies with everything from 13 to 28 volts being used. Still makes for great racing anyway you do it. We all have our preferences but nobody is wrong.
Sooo... to finally try to answer your question. All of the NTRA Mail A Way Races that have been promoted here have been tjet based except for Mountain Motored Pro Stock, MM/PS, which uses in-line chassis. The rules for all are listed in the second section of listings on the psychoslots.com home page.
That said, there are a lot of different rules being run at different tracks around the country. Some of them are listed on HO Drag Race Registry, hodragraceregistry.com and the sanctions with either email or websites are listed there. When your ready, please register your track on the registry. What state or country are you located? Welcome to the "gang".

Welcome to psycho! Oval racer. As you'll see there are are a lot of different organizations out there with different classes. IMO nobody is better than the rest and I'm sure every group can agree that they are having just as much fun as the next. Here are a few different chassis for some of the classes that are more popular here on psychoslots. Super Gplus, ISRA MM/PSTake a look here for all suggested parts in this class and how to install them. www.psychoslots.com/index.cgi?board=tdrt&action=display&thread=853Derwood's MM/PS Stang________________________________________________________________________________________________________ NTRA S/S chassis. in brief, ( I know, Im NEVER brief) classes /chassis' break down like this:
Stock: Original T jet Chassis SuperStock: Original T jet Chassis
Ratt Rodd: Lightly modified JL, AW, T-Jet or Tuff ones chassis Pro Stock: (Nostalgia) Same as Ratt Rodd
Gasser: Any T JET TYPE. Moderate Modifications NO Afx or Magnatractions. BB/FC : Same as above Pro mod: Highly Modified T Jet Type chassis
Other classes will be developed over time according to interest of members. Stock Class is not sanctioned as yet, but it is an expected addition. Nostalgia Pro Stock Has not yet been run. One possible class NTRA is evaluating is AA/FUEL ALTERED, on the BB/FC chassis or similar.
Mountain Motor Pro stock (MM/PS) is an ISRA class, which may or may not be technically a part of NTRA. The class is expected to be ongoing and fully supported by NTRA. MM/PS class is an inline motor class for Tomy, Tyco 440, and similar "production chassis" with Modern Pro Stock Bodies.

Thanks for all the info and tips, I really appreciate it. I always wanted to try drag racing but I don't have the room for 1/32 scale so I figured why not HO. Once I get the track setup I will take some pics. Oh and by the way I am from Pennsylvania about 10 minutes from Beaver Springs Dragway. thanks again.
