I would like to enter this Sam... www.datsunhistory.com/Racehistory1.html (for a history lesson on Datsun... look for the Drag Car... Nice ;D) They were a north american prototype (sold heavily in North America and were REAR WHEEL DRIVE and Designed by ex-Carroll Shelby staff members under the direction of the DATSUN USA engineering team. Heck, Even Bobby Allison drove one.) from 1967-1973 primarily for racing. They are still being heavily drag raced today. Unless of course this is an "bankrupt 3" only race.... ;D ;D ;D Thanks Dan

Hey Allstar, what ohm controllers are you using? I'm just curious about the launch. 440 Hopefully Zero-Ohm "Remote Start" buttons... ;D

Hey there are no controllers used at Phils track. His track is on the second floor or should I say the starting line is on the second floor and the finshline is on the first floor it's all down hill. After the SS race we will run a pine wood derby race.
DEMON
PS. Rapid Richards grandson was runner up in a pine wood derby race friday night. Last year he was runner up also. GOOD JOB

Dan, you'll need to take that up with Chris (Night Rider) . He's the rules guy. I have a feeling he's not gonna like it and probably not gonna like it even more coming from family Demon, Should we be taking out our running gear out and adding a lot of lead to these cars? Oh and Demon, I do request that Richard pulls the trigger for my car exclusively. I heard you like to bring a pillow with you up to the line If you can make this happen I'll send Beer money.

Due to the length of the track being so short, we use track supplied 45 ohm, Parma controllers to help keep the car in the race. Otherwise with the short track, he who cuts a light wins. With the 45 ohm controllers it takes some of the hit off and adds a little inconsistency which if each lane has the same, is fair.
I also like the 45 ohm because it eliminates the need for wheelie bars on most cars and therefore no "adjustments" are needed which will make it fairer in my mind. If we hit it perfectly on the adjustment on one car but not another and use 1 ohm controllers the poorly adjusted car just lost due to our ineptness at gettting the wheelie bar just right.
I have three Parma 45's and check and clean them every few months so they ohm and react the same. They do get dirty. I'll make sure they are ready and we also do not switch them from side to side. Where they start is where they finish.

Thanks, the 45 ohm is great. I just need to know so I can adjust the ballast. I have controllers from 4 up to 90 ohm and it definitely makes a difference on the launch, especially on the t-jets. Higher ohms, means a little less lead. Now for the final adjustments. 440

I like what you use for controllers, at T.T.S. T-BOLT let me use his DEFALCIO ADJUSTABLE ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER for a few passes adjusted for a soft launch , my 4 ohm PARMA would put the Tiger land Express out of the slot every launch, not a problem with the electronic. I can change one of my PARMA to a 45-60 or 90 Ohm for a lot less coin for what I race than a new electronic, but that controller is fantastic ;D If I could afford one I'd have one.

I guess Ill have to be molded in "NTRA's image" to get a concession... Of course I promise to run the same "HONG KONG" engine and chassis the rest of you are running... Of course there are the chinese injection molded bodies most are going to be running as well... unless you get a locally mfrd resin one... LOL

Got you down for the goat Larry (#53).
I think as long as the wheels are legal within the rules then I see no problem with them. Nightrider will have to make the official call on these.
