Hello everyone... I'm new here and hope I'm in the correct forum. I'm hoping someone here can help me identify a track from my childhood. When I was about 12 (I'm now 45 so a little over 30 years ago) I received for Christmas a track that was molded into a box. You removed the top and there was a loop with mountains and such molded into the box. There were three cars included. The first one was a white car (seems like it was a Cuda or something) with flames on it. You ran from the police in this car. The second car was a souped up police car (mostly black). The third car was a yellow dodge truck that just looped the track uncontolled. As you came up on the yellow dodge you could push a button on the controller to swich lanes for passing. I have racked my brain to try and remember the name of this track. I've love to find one of these to have for sentimental reasons. Any ideas on what this might have been? Oh...I still have the yellow dodge...here's a pic... Thanks! Bill

to the forum I don't know the answer to your question but I'm sure our more "seasoned" members can. They'll probably be on in a few hours.

Take a look at this beekslots. I found it on Wikipedia. Looks like it might of been a TCR track by Ideal. Look down at the cars under make and model. There is a pick up matching the description of yours. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Total_Control_RacingHope this helps a little. I moved this to vintage in hopes it might get some more attention.

Hello, I'll bet it was Aurora Screechers with Magna-Steering. They had a Police chase set with cars like you described. One was a flamed 'Cuda funny car and the other was a Vega Panel with Police lights on it. It came with a one peice molded plastic layout with mountains. Here's an ad for them. plaidstallions.blogspot.com/2008/02/aurora-scre-e-echers.html
