After missing the Gasser Nats at KDogs, iam getting ready for the Monster Bash at PSD. Should be great!
Iam wondering what is everyones take about the 2 chassis for Ratt Rodd. AW Cars vs. JL Cars? I know JL magnets are great as thats the popular magnet choice for Fray Car racers. But there chassis is kinda bad.
But having never had a AW Car, idk what to say about that? Ive seen that AW cars dominated the last Ratt Rodd race. According to Sams tech sheet (witch was very helpful!).
What are your guys thoughts about these 2 chassis?
Thanks

A great question, and I myself am hoping to learn from the guys on this one. At first glance they look VERY much the same. I have not tested the magnets one to another, but all else seems very similar, including some of the JL faults, i.e. the sloppy axle shafts. There is a fix for this btw in the tech area.

From my experiences I've noticed you can make more power with the J/L and A/W chassis in the Gasser and Rat class. Yes they are very sloppy with probably zero to none quality control from the factory. I think the reason being that you can make more power is because you can get the right amount of brush tension with the metal they use on their chassis. Not sure? Downfall is you'll go through some gears with these chassis in the Gasser class unless you luck up and all of the out of round gears mesh just right. If I was building a Gasser, I'd go with the A/W J/L Chassis.
Just my 4.5 cents

It's good chance im wrong but I was under the impression that they are the exact same.
The guy doing JL bought the AW name and released the same chassis with different body sets. feel free to correct me if someone knows different........

oops I was thinking that he was asking about the original Aurora and the newer chassis.
It seems that Auto World magnets were a little stronger. The A/W magnet was a darker shade of blue and the J/L was lighter shade of blue. I remember one being stonger than the other. Just thinking off the top of my head.
