I talked to Ryan about a week ago and they have been having some troubles. And for right now I can tell you Don't buy a track from HODRAGRACER on ebay he was selling slotcar Inc. tracks. It has been over 6 weeks and I have not gotten my track and Paypal will do nothing because it has been over 45 days. So it looks like I am out a large amount of $$$. I have a email in to Ryan to see if he can help me with the problem I will let you know if I here any thing.

>:(Well It is not good news. I have not hear back from any one so I had a chat with a good friend of mine that is on the local P.D. he tells me that there is not a lot that can be done do to the fact that this guy lives in AZ. So I got screwed out of $167. big ones . so if any one is getting ready to get a track make sure you know who you are dealing with. As for Ryan at SlotCarInc. I have not hear back from him. From what I have heard he is a good guy and is just having some inventory troubles so keep trying maybe some one will have better luck.

Bummer! I've been burned on ebay before. I bought two new resin 1/24 drag bodies from a guy that is rather well known and sells a lot on ebay. After two months I finally received one body. I contacted ebay and paypal and they sided with him because he could prove that he sent me something. That wasn't my argument at all because I did get one body but that was only half my order. Not to mention but this guy was a real jerk when I messaged him over all of this. He cussed me out and he wanted my phone # because he said he had some words for me. I sent paypal all of his messages and they still didn't give a care. I'm sure there are 1/24 guys that will read this and know exactly who I'm talking about because he has burned a lot of customers. I will not mention the seller but he needed to put a Un before his sellers name at the time.
As far as Sot Cars Inc. I talked to Ryan a few weeks back and they were having problems getting supplies to build tracks from their source. That's all I know about what is going on with them.

Well it has been 2 months and no track and not a word from the guy in the last month. Is there any one here that lives in in Phoenix AZ. That can help me get an address and phone number.

I know there are some Arizona guys here. Hopefully they will be able to help you out. As for Slot Cars Inc... Psychoslots will no longer be a supporter of their website. I wish them and their sellers good luck!

We would like to address the issues that have been raised here and on a couple of other boards. SCI will be suspending operations for the foreseeable future. Due to issues that are out of our control we have been unable to produce new product for a several months now and are at the end of our supply. It is unfortunate but the current economy has effected us in ways we never foresaw. Some of these issues resulted in some of our product being unsaleable but was caught before being shipped. We are striving to complete the couple orders that need to be completed and hope to have our issues resolved and back in product as soon a possible. We have many new products that will greatly enhance the slotcar hobby.
Anyone that have any questions please email them to us directly at info@slotcarsinc.com. We will only respond in email.
We are proud of the fact that hundreds of our customers continue to enjoy our products, and look forward to providing that enjoyment to many more in the future!

I don't think many people go into business and invest a lot of money and then have to shut down and consider that winning. Not even close. This hobby if full of cottage industry and as such these things will happen. I have a couple of their tracks. They are the best tracks I have ever run on. I tried to order additional pieces to expand my road course and learned of their problems. They refused to take my order until they got things worked out. I hope they still do and will be the first in line to buy from them. But to think any business would do this as part of some plan is pure ignorance.

Easy on the verbage guys. No need to take any of this personally. While I agree that the idea of planning such a departure is very unlikely, I think the comment about quitting and winning was at least half in jest. Furthermore, there is a grain of truth in the general sense. Once a business reaches a certain stage of decline, the operator might well be 'ahead' (relatively speaking) to 'cut and run.' It's easy to get frustrated over such a turn of events, and even easier to get hot under the collar if you think your are being "jobbed." That having been said, there is an old saying: "extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence." In this case we have only second hand facts and don't know the full answer. I and we (if I can speak for the group at large) certainly wish Slot Cars Inc the best in righting their ship and hope they would make good on all transactions. Their Product has been reported as top notch. That having been said it seems very likely to me that they, or someone else could bring this track back. Time will tell.
I do have to say, that although bad guys are everywhere, I have been overwhelmingly pleased (lucky?) in my dealings within the HO slot commuminty. We are a very small niche in the business world, most sellers/manufacturers are very small operations, usually headed by one guy or a guy and his wife. Business failures are common and part of the landscape. Most busniess people are just trying to make a living. Our best defense as a community is to report the bad guys and shun dealings with them. Without all the facts, I for one, won't make such a determination about slot cars inc. The ball is in their court and again I wish them well, both for their sake and the sake of those who would love to buy their product.
