I am anything but naive, in fact I see it all from both sides. They admitted that they were still taking oders when they in fact did not have the supply to fulfill the shipments. The lack of communication is another aspect that should not be overlooked here as it definately shows a pattern. I am ok with a product being backordered and understand build times, but you need to let the consumer know. How good the product is does not make up for being deceptive in my eyes! I made my statement to derwood as a sympothy statement. The hobby is way too small to loose members and I would hate to see him go away because of this.

The lack of communication Where did they say they took orders after knowing they couldn't deliver? Here is the quote from their only post "Some of these issues resulted in some of our product being unsaleable but was caught before being shipped. We are striving to complete the couple orders that need to be completed". It seems to me that they are attempting to handle things. Maybe they will in the long run or maybe they wont. I hope they do as they have a great product. This is a small hobby and we need both enthusiast and vendors. I would hate to see either leave.

OK guys. Lets me stop you for a second and point one thing out. This is not, I repeat not slot cars Inc. problem. The guy that is to blame as I stated earlier in the post is a guy on eBay user name hodragracer his real name is Eric Diener from Phoenix AZ. So lets not put blame where it is not needed. Slot car inc. makes a great track. I would love to have one and if I can ever get the money to get one I would.

This situation has been brought up on numerous boards with people that have dealt with them directly and were not informed of the delays. TJ it sounds like you have had great experiences and were given a heads up. That is the first I have read or seen of a positive dealing within the last couple months. Glad to see you are passionate about the product. I wanted one for my office as a conversation piece. All reviews on the product itself have been great, but there are too many negatives for me at this point. I am going with another TKO or MaxxTrax at this stage I think.

Well guys, I hope SCI can get things figured out and get back to making tracks. It's unfortunate that they are sitting idle right now. Derwood, Hopefully ebay or the seller will get you your money back or your track. It's really unfortunate that this has happen. Sonik, Those are great choices to look at. I've heard many great things about TKO tracks.
I don't see this thread going anywhere else so I will be locking it for now.
