Been wanting to do this thread for some of the projects that I'm doing but have not finished yet. Like nobody saw this one coming My Larry Morgan MM/PS. If anybody can duplicate the exact decals on his car please contact me. I can pay for them or trade for ? Looking for quality decals. Still adding decals to this one. Clear Coat and windows will follow.

Yep..NICE 'stang Sam! ;D Actually, there are a few other Mustangs out there I wouldn't mind seeing done up! There's an Outlaw 10.5 car running out there that I would LOVE to see someone do the graphics for! It's an earlier 'stang, but would look GREAT on the new body as well! (Executioner, blue with some NICE artwork on it). Just saw a video of it 'blowing up' at the "Shakedown at E-Town" a few weeks ago! (Actually, had a HUGE NOS explosion..think he tried to start it back up after it shut down and he didn't 'clear out' the NOS..sooo...LOL) I do have a scan of the 1/25 decals (I believe they were on the top fuel car?) Altho the colors don't seem to print out like they should. As soon as I can get some time, I will try to go back to them and change sizes and colors, but if I print them out, they would only be done on white decal paper, since I don't have the capability of printing white (would need an Alps printer for that), which would work fine for the lettering on the side of the car, but probly wouldn't work well over the blue or red . It might work tho, maybe use 2 decals to cover up the 'transparency'of the blue or red showing through. And I'm not too sure about the 'clarity' of these, since it seems like whenever I make something smaller, they tend to 'blur' a lot. I'll see if I can get some time here Sam. ;D Ron

I have an ALPS printer and would be happy to print the decals with white from your graphics file. Actually my wife, the computer guru, will print them while I watch over her shoulder . . .
Cheers, Rick V.

That bad boy is looking good, especially for a Ford!!! Sam, do a google "image" search, type in " Lucas Oil logo". Lots of roof decals could be made. Also there are some great images on racingdecals.com you can copy and reprint, especially if Rick V's wife is willing to print them ... Clear decal paper may work on that white background, may have to double them up...RM

Rick, let your wife know she's hired Thanks for the tips guys. I'll do some searching for the logo as HT mentioned. I'm glad I didn't set the decals yet because once I looked at both photos I noticed that I should have left the OIL off after Lucas. A little trim job with my X-Acto knife and repositioning of the Lucas has made it look much better. BTW, Anybody check out NHRA's website today. LM has Dyno tested his Mustang recently and likes the results. He is also doing some testing along with AJ's new Dodge and a few others soon. IMHO it's great to see some more variety in this class again and that the cars will be a little easier to identify with the new Dodge Avenger and Ford Mustang. It was kind of looking like easter with all the colorful cookie cutter eggs rolling with wheelie bars.

Looking better. Took your advice HT and found a logo for the top. I used my cheap printer so the quality isn't all that great but I think it looks better than leaving it white. The pinstripe is a little wide and oh such a pain in the arse I also used your tip on painting white water slide paper, clear coating and cutting stripes. That is a great tip! I'll probably add some more contingency decals before I clear coat this one. .

Looking good Sam!!! Real goooood!!! I like that!!! Next time, Just paint the paper, it will slide, then clear it after you have them on the car. Try painting some clear paper too for stripes. You can also lay another decal right on top of one, to brighten it up if necessary, (double it up)...RM

That Mustang is looking really good! Just so I'm understanding -- you made the pinstripes by painting white decal paper, then cutting thin strips and applying them?
Thanks, RV

Yeah, the bigger red stripes on the side and the metallic blue ones on the hood were made that way. Pretty cool trick for making some multi color paint jobs.

Waiting for the clear to dry on the Morgan Stang so I can finish it up this week hopefully in time for Saturday nights race . Here is a Hot Rod that I done recently. This one will be For Sale on Ebay tomorrow night. It has a silver base coat with Spaz Stix Deep Red candy over it. Flame decals are by Scale Auto Modeling (ebay). I'd have to say they make the best most realistic flames for a decal that I've come across. Topped off with a House Of Kolor clear coat. and a twin of some sort. At least the paint. 57 P/M Vette for my slot buddy Chuck. This one is being fitted for a NOS bottle.

Here is a 55 T-Bird P/M project that Demon wanted me to do for him . It's all Frankenstein out right now. I cut it down the middle and added a little width. This way I will be able to tuck the tires underneath and keep the rear wheel well skirts. Early stages, looking rough.
