Here is a 55 T-Bird P/M project that Demon wanted me to do for him . It's all Frankenstein out right now. I cut it down the middle and added a little width. This way I will be able to tuck the tires underneath and keep the rear wheel well skirts. Early stages, looking rough. Sam thats not right if I was going to have you do a ford it would be a 65 ford falcon Altered wheelbase.

I've been working on machined aluminum wheels with silicone coated foam tires. Here are the particulars; .340" diameter, .225" width and .015" rim thickness. The back is recessed so the jamb nut does not protrude. The wheels are fairly easy to machine but the tires have proven to be tricky to get right. I'm hoping to get the process down and be able to offer the wheels to others. Doug Attachments:

They look sweet! Looks like lots of space for 'mag wheel' decals or inserts too.

I was on Ebay in the last couple of days, and under the slot car heading/HO i did as search for 'wheels' and came across some nifty wheel inserts for afx wheels. The inserts are for Center-Line type wheels. Very nice. (I also do a regular search with the word 'Custom' and "resin" and often find cool items.

Why doesn't anyone make a good 57 T-Bird? The Tyco is to large for my taste and the other ones are to small even for a t-jet. Now with that said I simply wanna butcher it to make a pro mod that a G3 chassis will fit under, my bad. ☺ Sam it should be about the size of your new Vette. Happy Holidays Guys and Gals

Thanks Slugger, I should have this little turd in a RTV bath tomorrow and hope to have some castings later this week. I also have a Dodge sitting on the bench ready to be butchered, widen, flared and fitted with P/M gear.
