Nice looking wheels

nice wheels hope you do get them where you want and make them available to others.

I was on Ebay in the last couple of days, and under the slot car heading/HO i did as search for 'wheels' and came across some nifty wheel inserts for afx wheels. The inserts are for Center-Line type wheels. Very nice. (I also do a regular search with the word 'Custom' and "resin" and often find cool items.

I've seen those inserts and they look great.



Projects on the work bench this week. I have a Darrell Alderman Daytona awaiting windows. I did one like this a few weeks back but with black Mopar decals. Clear coat is still a little soft so I'll finish this one up tomorrow.



Pro Mod Camaro. I taped off the front end after my base coat and drew out some flames. I then followed the lines with a X-Acto knife. If you try this, the best tip I can give you is to never use a dull blade and in fact change it out at least one time on a small project like this...... Otherwise you will be pulling on the tape instead of slicing through it.



Sprayed on some silver then added candy yellow and blue which gives a cool fade effect that goes yellow, green to blue. Still needs some finishing touches.




Here is my project T- Bird P/M. This use to have a spare tire on the bumper that ran onto the trunk. Now that would have been kind of cool on the strip! I decided to lose it. When I cut and trimmed it off it left this hole in the back. To fill it, I taped the underside of the body to act as some sort of form.





Next I mixed up some resin and poured it into the void.




After doing this two times and once it was cured I was able to start sanding the area. This probably isn't like the 1/1 model but heck, it's going to be on a Pro Mod. I hardly doubt you will be able to tell the difference once it gets off the line

NICE BIRD You should paint it yellow and call it the chicken bird.
It will go good with your HOOTERS mustang. ;D

WOW, Sam that little turd looks real good. Next time i'll read the rest of the posts before I chim in. Looks like you need to mold that one for us who can't.
