I've been using an S8 and the slowest I can go is 1/8 speed. I forget the frame rate on it. The S7 wasnt as slow as the S8 and now it looks like the S9 is much slower still. Very cool seeing the cars move that slow.

You probably know that but just throwin' it out there.

S8 & S9 sound like cell phone models. Are you using cell phones to do thiese slo-mos?
Can iPads do that?

Yep Bill, Samsung cellphones. I'm not familiar with apple products? For Slow mo or Super Slow mo you need high frame rates or frames per second(FPS). Check online what FPS your device is capable of. My S9+ is capable of 240 FPS and 960 FPS for Super Slow mo. The problem is on Super Slow mo you can only record a vid that plays back for 6 seconds. I will be playing around more this weekend to see what these devices are capable of? Lighting is also a huge factor to the quality of the vids. Hope this helps.

Hmm...I have an S7 Galaxy and slow motion is 240fps. I also have a camera with slow motion at 240fps, and 480fps. I like 240fps the best. With my camera I can shoot a long video in 480fps, but the size of the picture in play back is reduced quite a lot. Keep up the video work, very enjoyable.

Its amazing what those cell phone cameras can do.
Do they have a mount for a tripod, to hold it steady while filming?

Yep, tripods can be found cheap! I use a scrap piece of wood and poster putty, crude but works!!

This is a mock up vid. Just playing around to see the potential of recording a race? Wish I had 5 of these phones lined up along the track. I think you could capture a full pass using right angles?
