This is how I have been balancing arms for years. Stick a set of inline motor magnets to your vise jaws. Put the arm in between & close the jaws enough so that the arm does not wobble while spinning but spins freely. Blow on it through a straw. Heavy side will end up on bottom, epoxy light side & repeat. When done just remove the arm & magnets & your vise is back to normal. Eric

Anybody want to buy some used razorblades? Just a little blood on them... Sure hope this post doesn't put me on the National Terrorist Watch List!

Hey guys, I tried this with a pair of regular SG+ mags, and both inline and pancake arms seemed to "cog" badly, no smooth spinning to find the heavier bit..
Did I miss something?

I have been balancing 1/24 arms like this for years. Here is a "trick" If you "grind" a point on one end of the shaft, and use that end to put against the magnet, it will make it spin easier and make the process much faster and much more accurate. ALSO, DO NOT use Neo Magnets. They are way too strong for this. Use your Dremel tool and a very GOOD file, and wear safety glasses
