If his timing equipments gives separate ET and reaction time for each lane you can bracket race. Just takes a little simple math.
You write the dial in down on a piece of paper or white board for each car and make the run.
Then you check to see if either car broke out and if both did, which one did by the most and loses. If neither breaks-out or red-lights, you add the reaction time to the ET for each lane and the one with the smallest total or package wins.
