We are going to be starting a HO Slot Car Drag Racing Program along with our Downhill Gravity Racing. We meet the second Saturday of each month at the MacColl Field YMCA (Youth Center). Located at 26 Breakneck Hill Rd. Lincoln R.I. We are looking for ideas on Classes to run if anyone on here can pass along any info. Stay Tuned for Pics. of our next meeting February 13th. We had a great turnout yesterday at our February meeting. We did not race the HO Slot cars this month we are hoping to get something going at our March 13th meet. We really want to get the HO Drag racing going a bunch of the members have been asking about it. Anyone have any ideas on some classes to run let me know before our next meeting. Thanks Jeremy LJLRC

Start out with some simple stuff like a stock inline class. You could do some stock T-jet and auto world classes also but those cars require some tuning to get them to run. Here is a link to the classes we run www.mobydiditperformance.com/slot-cars.html |

Also I'd start off with Bracket and Index racing. This should get the guys going. Once everyone has a feel on how things work then discuss what you might want to run for Heads up classes. Come up with your own or take a look around the site for ideas. Sounds like a neat program you guys are getting together. I look forward to seeing some pictures.  |

Thanks SKR we have not been able to get the HO Slot car Drag Racing going yet but we are working on it. Thank You all for getting in on this we mainly race on the Downhill track every month but we are a Race Club so this will be nice to do even every other month. I would like to get a T- Jet class going maybe first and go from there. Stay tuned for some pics. Thanks Jeremy LJLRC

Here are some pics. of the cars Mario B. brought down to our January meeting at the YMCA. We raced these two along with some others down the temporary Drag Strip that Jim and Mario Brought with them. Great time had by all at the Lincoln Johnny Lightning Race Club.  |

Hey Mario, Sorry I hav'nt gotten back to you I have been very busy. We will have our Auto World Drag Strip set up this coming Saturday March 12th!!! We are getting more interest in this new track. I will post pics. after the meeting!

List some classes on here that we could run on the Auto World Drag Strip! You are limited to heads up racing since there is no timing system. A member here is working on a timing system but it will not be able to do bracket racing. After he has the system out you will be able to run any index class you want. |
