Hey Dragfool, not sure but that may be an older Mead Bros, body. They are no longer around, but you can get an Austin that looks like it that fits a Tjet chassis (I think?) from HairyCanary. You can find him by emailing him, hairycanaryjr@aol.com. I have one I haven't mounted yet, and it is REAL nice (but then ALL of his bodies are!). I never actually had one of the Meads bodies in my hand, so can't compare them. The headers probably came from a diecast, or could be 'homemade'. Bob would have to answer that one for ya. BTW Bob, NICE car! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Guys,
I wish that I had taken some close-up shots of Rick's Altered before sending it back (which was quite a test of will, but honesty prevailed in the end <g>). This car is absolutely gorgeous, from the paint and decals to the lettering on the slicks, the "wire wheels" in front, and the detailed driver and roll cage. The really ingenious part is how well the 4-gear chassis is disguised by the side panels, grille, and fuel tank. The only hint that it's an HO slot car is the front of the pickup shoes peeking out.
The only items it needs is a set of Sam's spark plug wires, Kdog's fuel lines, and Bondo's throttle linkage -- then it would be near-darn perfect!
Thanks, Rick V.

Thanks guys for the compliments. Thanks Sam for putting on. It was a fun build once I got started. My printer is giving me trouble so the decals didn't turn out like I wanted. I wanted to add some more detail to the car but ran out of time. I lucked out on the tune up. It sounded good on the jack stands so I loaded it up.
