I love those doorslammers! I gotta ask where do you all keep finding these decals or are they hand painted? I've got a couple harry canary bodies I just finished prepping for the paint booth. They are both going to need some logos for the sides to make them look right.

Actually, all the graphics on mine are a combination of hand painting, spray painting, and decals printed on white decal paper from my own puter. I gotta say, I probly got somewhere between 30 to 40 hours just on the paintwork and decal work, between the paint, and seeking out images, and changing them around a lot on my GIMP program (kinda like Photoshop, only a FREE program..lol). Plus, with printing on white paper, ALL of the decals had to be PAINSTAKINGLY cut precisely on the edges of the image and lettering. And THAT took a LOT of time! But, the final outcome was WELL worth it! ;D I do knopw all of the lettering on Rick's Willys he 'custom made' himself as well. It's really a LOT easier to use your home puter and white or clear paper if you're putting the decals on a white car. Otherwise, the decals need to be printed with a 'high end' Alps printer (also a BIG dollar machine too!), since your home printer cannot print White images, and most 'professional' decals have to be made that way so they can be used on any color, dark or light. Rick does have an Alps he uses for his decals, but last I knew, he was having trouble with it and wasn't printing anymore till he got it fixed. Haven't talked to him in a while, he's probly fixed it by now. Also, do a search on your puter for "Patto's Place'. He does some really nice decals too, and on his you usually get enuff to do 2 or 3 cars on one sheet, so while they seem a little high priced at first, they aren't, considering how much you get on one sheet. I don't have the link in front of me, or I'd post it here. RRR (Road Race Replicas) does some good 'lettering' decal sheets for drag cars as well as sponsor stuff. You may wanna search for that too. Also, if you look close enuff, sometimes you can find stuff on 1/25 scale decal sheets that can work. I have done that myself quite a few times. Ron (Bondo)

Thanks Ron, man that sounds really tedious. It makes that background picture all that more impressive. You guys sure are talented around there.

I really like this background picture and will be leaving it up for awhile. I think it captures what Nitroslots is all about. HO drag racing and customizing. These two cars were custom built by NS members Hairy Canary (Willys) and Bondoman (Cuda). Each of them cast their own bodies and custom painted their own cars. Lots of talent floating around here on the forum. Kind of cool that one is from California and the other is from Texas who met up on a Colorado track for some two lane action. Keep up the great work everyone!!! and please continue to show off your work on NS.

01/03/2011 Here you go Demon. Feel free to strip it down and repaint it if you want Not perfect but pretty cool. I added your real car #2980 on the front and put in a driver/interior since you need help cutting lights. I'll make you up some of these narrow silly foams that I have on the rear with the GY decals. Hope you like it. Thanks to Hairy Canary for making the Nitro Slots and window rivet decals. Man, what a chore it was to install them (rivets) but so worth the time. Sam, What body is this? Great looking build!

That Duster body was one of Sam's own resins. He currently isn't producing any, but if you PM him he might have one laying around if you're interested. That one is cast to fit a Super G+ chassis. I cast one similar that fits a 4 gear chassis, but is a little different. Ron (Bondo)
