Not sure if anybody is interested in this. I had this buried in another thread. If your into doing resin stuff and want some original hood scoops then this is a cool way to go about it. After your first one is done, you can make a mold and have many for future projects. Here are some tips on making a balsa wood hood scoop. You can buy the stuff at your local Hobby shop. Inexpensive and very light. Start by cutting off a small piece long enough for your scoop. Draw the shape of scoop you want. It doesn't have to be perfect, just a rough out line. I take my X-Acto knife and start shaving off small slithers of wood. Starting to take on some shape. I use 400 grit sand paper to smooth things up. I work on one side for awhile and then catch up on the other side. I also draw on the scoop through out the process for reference. A sharpie will work. Getting close. I need to trim up the side that butts up against the window a little. That's all I have for this post. I smear on a light coat of red filler, Sand and primer. Now you have a cool one of a kind scoop.
