I could tell you, but you would just go slower. (Look at the results from the last couple of races.) What do you have to say Rick and 440 and Sam and Kdog and Richard and everybody else that was above me on the qualifying sheets?? Oh! Everybody WAS above me!

lol, well I'll get us tight lipped guys going. I've been playing around on/off with Tjets for about three years. Heck I think this car is older than me My wheel and tire set up was RRR. They look great and I own a bunch of them but there might be something better out there for competitive racing. I am currently searching for a wheel and tire sponsor. I used silver brushes that I bought from Jag Hobbies. I've heard that Wizzard makes a great brush and plan on testing them. www.jaghobbies.com/ho_slot_cars/parts_aurora_cart.htm I found that BSRT's shoes work the best atleast at our track so that is what I stuck with. Next!

I used the wizard copper colored brushes last time out, with stock Silver pickups. On my blue mustang I used RRR wheels but cut down some Wizard Lo Lo silicones to fit the more narrow rim. On my White Mustang I used Double Flange Nylon rims in the stock width, with Wizard silicones on the rear. Both cars ran identical times over and over, even when I had a wider set of tires on my White car.
I needed weight in the front of both to keep them on the track, I used the thick Plumbers Solder cut to fit in the space near the front wheel set. On the short wheelbase set up I was able to get 2 pieces in.
Next was that magic arm we are always searching for.

Hi Guys
This is my first post, been lurking and learning a bit! But my first question is on arms, it is ok to use a aftermarket stock replacement fray legal arm in stock and SS class?

Thats a good question. There are lots of issues and side trails raised by this topic.
Let us take this under advisement for a couple of days and make a definitive ruling. (as the rules now stand there is no specific prohibition of aftermarket arms.)

Ok we have discussed it and ther word is in. Aftermarket arms are fine provided they meet the class rules.

John, The rules say that after market pick-ups are ok for stock class but the quick ref. chart says stock pick-ups only. Which is correct? Are the american line replacement shoes legal?
thanks 440

The quick ref. chart is a bench top guide only (apparently still in need of some adjustments) , but the rules are the final word. The chart is not a replacement for the rules. Anyone using the chart should review and understand the rules first and not rely solely on the chart(s). Thanks 440gtx for pointing that out. Keep the questions coming.

Ninja is right on point here. Ther printed (long-winded) version is the final word, subject to NTRA interpretation as needed.
He is also dead on when he says we weclome such questions. Our main and final goal is to 'get it right.'
