For a MM/PS. Which chassis would be best to use. The G3R FLEXIBLE CHASSIS, G3R MEDIUM CHASSIS or the G3R STIFF CHASSIS .
Thanks

Wild guess would say that a stiffer chassis better........any flex is normally absorbing power..............................However..............a flexible chassis might launch 'softer' which may or may not be a good thing per individual car

I agree with John on the theory behind a stiffer chassis for Drag Racing. I have a a few stiff G3 chassis that we (Kim & I)run in MM/PS. It's hard to say if there is a difference without taking out all those same parts from the stiff chassis and putting them all in a softer one. Maybe a future comparison thread would be a good idea.

Well I'am going to run the G3 flex chassis in Richard's and my MM/PS so we will see how they run.

Just a quick reply to the chassis debat. A stiffer chassis is used in myNeo powered pro stock car I have. I have the exact setup in a stock SG+ with ceramic magnets and the rear axle pops out when the car launches. What I mean by exact is the only difference between the two chassis is the magnets and chassis stiffness.I agree with johnbalich. Wild guess would say that a stiffer chassis better........any flex is normally absorbing power..............................However..............a flexible chassis might launch 'softer' which may or may not be a good thing per individual car. I now in our road racing the softer chassis is easier to drive.

after a week of running SG+ the hard chassis didn't fair as well as the softer (grey) chassis. rear axle is slopping around like an AW tjet.. almost to the point of "pinning" the rear axle to insure it don't pop. Also: the front of the chassis split where the guide pin is mounted. (wall shot). not likely to happen in drag racing,,, LOL not like this one got... We hammered the SG+ this week.. lap after lap, on 80 foot of track, overall I like the car. but the black chassis is something I would try to avoid. Chris

Chris the black chassis were made from the worst of the worst recycled plastic. The newer gray chassis are much more durable. I was advisied to contact Tomy for replacements of the chassis that exploded on impact with both the wall and or floor. LOL

LOL.. that chassis took some pretty good hits.. wall/floor,, etc. never did break.. just wore down the rear axle mounts pretty good.... never did slow down.. Chris
