Racers,
I'm a member of the Classic Pro Stock forum on Yahoo, and one of the members posted the following news:
"Bill Jenkins has been in the hospital. He did have an operation to drain excess blood from his brain. Even though the technology is amazing and the success rate impressive, the first 24 hours following this surgery are dicey. He's through that and back in his room. Therapy will start soon. Recovery is a process and let us pray he travels that road as he traveled the quarter-mile, a winner!"
Jenkins is a giant in the sport, a guiding light and inspiration for generations of doorslammer drag racing. He's the last of Pro Stock's "Founding Fathers" -- sadly, we've already lost Dyno Don Nicholson, Ronnie Sox, and Dandy dick Landy. So please keep Grumpy in your thoughts, your prayers, or whatever will help him to a full and speedy recovery.
Thank you, Rick V.
