CAR NUMBER THREE: "SEMPER FIDELES"OWNER: CPL JAY McELROY USMC I’d like to tell you all about a special entry we have for the Fall Nationals. CPL Jay McIlroy (paposse) is stationed in Iraq on his second tour of duty. His father Rich (keystoneracing) was able to send him a car and some parts for Jay to work on in his spare time. Jay is entry #19 in Rat Rod. With the amount of time it takes for shipping back and forth to Iraq Rich was unable to get the parts together for Jay in time to build anything else except for a Rat Rod. He had mentioned that Jay would like to run another class as well. Once we heard this the wheels started turning. We contacted some of the Psycho members to make the personalized gift of a funny car for Jay to run at the Fall Nationals. Jay is #18 in BB/FC. The car will be mailed to his father after the race for Jay to keep. Jay returns from his second tour of duty sometime in February. Kdog, John Balich, Gary Mead, Allstarhr, Troy Mead and myself all came together to build this car for Jay. The fantastic paint was done by Kdog. The picture does not do the car justice. John Balich donated the chassis, made personalized decals for Jay to have his name on the car along with other decals. Gary Mead donated the Mopar decals. Allstarhr helped fund the project. Troy Mead donated a few decals. I get the pleasure of building/ tuning and finishing it off. Thank you to all the guys for coming together for this special project. CPL Jay McIlroy, thank you for your service to our country. On behalf of all the members of psychoslots.com we present to you your new funny car. History provided by Sam Beckworth

History provided by Sam Beckworth I thought it would be fun to repost this car NTRA built and gave away to CPL Jay Mc Elroy serving in Iraq at the time. I can't believe this is almost ten years ago. If memory serves me The Mead brothers sent the body and some of the decals The Dog his own self painted the very cool camo paint John Baluch printed the decals, and Sam and allstarhr did the chassis work. A very cool memory for me and I am sure the rest of the guys that pitched in as well

I saw this but have not been able to post on it till now. I love seeing the forum history. There were a bunch of cool people back then that got this all kicked off. It's only been in the last year or so that I learned how Nitroslots even got started. I try to Bookmark all that kind of nostalgia stuff but it still gets lost in all the posts and threads. Thank you for sharing Kevin.
