Ok, the no magnet thing threw me off. Sorry, new to ho scale. I know these bodies are not legal, but what about the chassis'? These chassis are legal. If these are good, does anyone know were I can get some chevy bodies for these real quick? Thanks for all the help. Trying to find a Ford body that is legal....kinda tough. Any ideas out there? Check this thread for bodies. A few Chevy, even fewer Fords, plenty of Mopar. www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=osmn&action=display&thread=2071

Put me down for 2 entry's. 2 chevy's! You're are on the list for 2 Chevys. Pick-up shoes look a little worn. You may want to consider changing them as part of preparation for the race. Also, if the rear tires dry and/ or cracked you may want to change them as well. Welcome to the race! Welcome to Nitroslots!

I've got acouple brand new sets of pick up shoes in the box, and 2 more sets of brand new silicone tires. I did some horse tradin' with a guy from PA for the ho cars I have.
I mostly run 1/43 scale slots. Which the bodies are about the size of a pack of smokes. I hold a drag proxy every year as well, just in 1/43 scale. Entering proxy races helps keep are hobby going........glad I can be part of your race! Mapquested the shipping addy....race is only 3 hours away from were I live.

O.K., put me in for 2 cars. Haven't decided which ones yet. Will most likely be 1 Mopar Cuda, and 1 Chevy of some sorts.

Trying to test and tune. What is the "usual" track voltage, and the length from start line to finish line? Also, am I correct that the passenger side of the track is negative voltage and the driver side is the positive side? Thanks for the help.

Mopar City Dragway slot cars inc track 15' 2" timed 5' shutdown with dynamic braking 13.8v 10a power supply rails are .080" dia. and .012" high timing is by TrackMate basic system. I'll have to check to be 100% sure but I think the passenger side is the negative rail. Matt

Forgive me for my ignorance, but what does the term "dynamic breaking" mean? A track with dynamic braking has the rails in the shutdown area shorted together. This causes the motor to act like a generator under load and slows the car down. Matt

Thanks for the answers. The voltage is opposite in 1/24 scale. Also, we use allmost the same braking system. We use a "glue" compound along with the braids being shorted , or useing capicators across the braids. The "glue" used is the same glue we use at the starting line to give the tires traction.

If I can get some tire info, I can throw a couple Mopars in the mix.
