Hello there, I just found my old afx tracks and cars awhile ago and started playing again. Well long story short, I bought the AW Drag Strip set and made a drag strip in my basement. After we had our first drag night. I'm hooked all over again..... So I have a couple questions. First whats a good chassis to run? I have a few HP7's, G Plus, 1 tomy turbo and 2 life-likes but all are showing wear and tear from years of abuse (I was 8 when started playing with the stuff) and I was looking to purchase a couple new cars but I have no idea whats good anymore. I love the look of the new 4 gear funny cars but how do they perform? Also I've been surfing the site for a bit now and was wondering if anyone produces some of the sweet looking cars (particularly that great looking duster SKR made) to sell to guys like me that don't know the in's and outs of mold making and casting. any help would be great

Welcome to Nitro Slots Aweb! and also welcome back to slot car racing. I'd agree with Hammer and say go with what is fun. Ask your group what classes they would like to run. You could show them some of the class rules from the different clubs around this site or come up with your own classes. Do a little research on what is easily obtainable like the Auto World cars. Stock X-Tractions would run good on your track and are reasonably priced. If your looking for some ready to run custom cars I'd check out Kdog Racing. There is a link at the bottom of our home page to his ebay stuff. I can sell you unfinished resin bodies. Most of my resins are made to my liking which is.. having mounts for the Super G chassis molded in to a slammed setting so most of my bodies require that you have to narrow up the rear and front wheels to get the proper fit. Just PM me if you are interested.

Hey there, me again. I just bought a couple T-jet mopars off of the net, brand new and when i took them down the track I found that one runs decent but the other is a dog. I was just wondering if there is something I should be doin to the car before I run them. I know on the 1/24 scale slot cars I run, that you can break in the motor, but does that transfer over to HO? Any help would be great..
