Recently inquired about what class a chassis set up would fit into. Found out I was looking at pro-mod. Also found out that this class hasn't been run for some time. Perhaps because of lack of response to this class. I understand that classes are set up trying to make participation both affordable and easier for all to participate in. Also that eveyone is trying to help promote this hobby. Years ago I raced 1/1 and reguardless of what class someone wanted to run (even if they were the only ones in it), they could make passes and get times. Seems to me if the NTRA ran such race formats, they might get a better response as far as participation in any given event. This diversity might even spure more intrest in the hobby. Stock classes and the rest, and you have something for eveyone. Be they young or newbie, those that have found a nich, those experimenting with something new or even those with that need for speed. Eveyone is coverd. Not having room indoors for a scale 1/4 or being anywhere near one, I'd still like to know what builds I do are capable of (e.t. mph). After seeing some recorded times and record times, I'd like to know how close I can get. And if fortunate enough to attain a record pass. I'd like it to be at a recognized track for varification. Perhaps a format like this is to time consuming, or complicated. Never been to a HO drag event, plan to start proxy racing soon. This has been my 2 cents, what do you guys and gals think? -----Maybe bracket racing-----
