Check out the link below. It's kinda long (10 pages) but It will help with the AW build-ups. Sam posted it as part of a contest a while back. There's lots of good info in it. www.nitroslots.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=fmsd&thread=885&page=1Matt

Hey Billy - I would check out the gears on the problem cars. Take out magnets and brushes, reassemble and see if there's any binding. Recently got some parts for 4-gear build and idler gears were so bad they would lock-up drive train. Arms could be funky too, have to check ohms on each pole(closer the better). And balance, is very important! .............PC

Yea I got some smooth running 4 Gear chassis also until I put the idler gear in. Then they become tight. Any body got ideas for a cure?? Billy some of the JL AW t-jet chassis brush tension springs are JUNK. No matter how much you adjust them they do not hold the adjustment. So when you put the chassis back together the increased height of the brushs pushes the spring down losing brush to com contact. So it seems like you have done no adjustment at all.At least that is what I have experienced with some of mine. IMO the only thing the JL and AW chassis are good for are classes which allow braids and or shunts. Then those chassis come alive. My 1/2 cent.
