Does anyone have an idea or plans on how to make a spray booth for painting these cars. I know you have to be careful about fumes exploding from and electric fan. I thought about buying one but Micro Mark wants like $300 for one

Dusted - First booth I ever had was just a large cardboard box. If vented is what you want, like "hammer" said anything about the size of a window shaker will work. I would use dryer vent hose ( smaller diameter might cause to much air curent ), and have fan mounted elsewhere to vent outside if this is your idea in venting. .....me 2 cents.....lately I just go outside PC

I just set myself up with exactly what your looking for. Check it out. I cut the box the fan came in for a tight fit, then taped the fan to the box and sealed it up. Cut a hole for my exhaust hose. Here it is with a 9 dollar depot light which doubles as a heat source. Total was around 40 bucks.

Thank you very much guys some great ideas. I like that window fan idea since I already have an extra fan and it's easy and cheap to make.

Those are just the ticket. The only thing I would add is a small furnace filter on the spray booth side of the fan to pick up some of the overspray.

Actually I got the cheapest AC replacement filter I could find at the depot and cut it to fit the inside of the duct reducer thingy that sits on top where the hose goes in.
