I don't think there are any difference at all. I'm pretty sure they are exactly the same. Correct me if I am wrong.

Pretty much have been the same until now.
The new AW stuff I have received like the T-Jet release 7 with flames and the new 4 gear Scooby Van with the Fire Bomb and the Caddy Hearse have then all beat by a mile!! These new cars scream!!! Not sure whats exactly new and improved but the difference is like night and day. Used to be the JL magnets were the best around but without a gauss meter i'm guessing the magnet tschnology has to be better. Can't see any physical differences. So I don't know why they are sooooo much better now but they are!!!!
Get one of either series and check em out. I may have a few new sealed if your interested. 15 plus shipping.

The original question was reguarding X-traction chassis. Johnny Lightning and Autoworld chassis were the same UNTIL Autoworld added the traction magnet was added to the bottom of the chassis. Then they became known as Ultra-G X-traction. I don't think the traction magnet is a NEO either. The originals without the traction magnet were based off the AFX Magnatraction chassis. The T-Jet 500 chassis went through the same transformation with the traction magnet being added to them later in production. As for the 4 gear chassis , also based off the old AFX design , just added the traction magnet.
