Slotfather, the only wheel/tire rules that I am aware of are as follows: "Any readily available slip on tires (silicones included), .550 Maximum diameter" So, any wheels and tires that fall within those rules should be allowed. Right Ninja or Rick? Ron (Bondo)

Right Ninja or Rick? Ron (Bondo) Welcome to Nitroslots, Slotfather! That is correct, Ron. Any combination wheel/tire using readily available parts is allowed. The combination cannot exceed the allowed .550" maximum diameter. Stock rubber or slip-on silicones allowed, silicone coated foam (silly foams) not allowed. The preferred tire color is black, but is not a requirement to qualify.

Ninja, I have a question that I'm pretty sure I know the answer, but am asking it more for other racers/builders purposes than for my own. The rims can be 'trued' correct? I mean like putting an axle in a drill and using an emery board on the wheels themselves where the tires sit. And, the tires can be siliconed to the rims, correct? (by 'silconed' I mean silicone glue) I know that was allowed at the last NFC race, but just wanted to be sure, since both of my cars are built that way. By the way guys, putting your axle(s) in a drill and spinning it is also a good way to check for a bent axle. ;D Ron (Bondo)

I have researched the archives and found it to be a legal procedure for stock class rules. Stock class having the minimum mods allowed, I would conclude that which is legal for stock is legal in all classes. For those unfamiliar with the procedure a more detailed instruction can be found on pages 18-19 of 'Tuning the Pancake Part I'. www.ninjatekprojects.com/PDF/Tuning%20the%20Pancake%20Part%201.pdfOh well, there goes another tech tip for NTRA Quarterly.
