Hey guys, I think if you reverse the name it kind of sings "Blue Steel and the Reaper". But now it would have to be "Blue Steel II and the Reaper". That one dosen't sound right to me. Guess we're gonna have to wait and see what the new 55' is called. Good luck with the build. ........PC

Here is a pic looking down the Blacktop Raceway with the foam board stone walls up. The back drop is next. That is harder than I thought. Not easy to get it to look right. I went out and took pics of wooded areas for part of back drop.

Kbuck I put it there just for you LOL. It will be straight when we get all our scenery up. For a plastic track it performs pretty good. Should see some good times we will be running 22 volts. From 18 volts to 22 volts huge jump in time, from 22 to 24v not so much.

I can't wait to see what the cars do there too Eagle! Actually, I'm looking forward to seeing the Doorslammers run what they're 'supposed' to run! (For the record, not sure how many of you new guys know this, but the Doorslammers were 'created' by me and Sam (skr). We came up with the original rules for this class, and the voltage they should be run at. Which is why I LOVE this class so much! ;D And why I am VERY happy to see how many entries are at the upcoming race! Hopefully, we will see that many entries and more at Eagle's track! (although the amount of entries we have right now for Wood's race is as high as ANY race we've EVER run in the NTRA!) Also, we had kicked around the idea of a modern funny car class before he (Sam) decided to get out of the hobby. We hadn't come up with a lot of 'finalized' rules, but they were close to what we are going to run now. That's why when Ninja took over the reigns for the NTRA, and asked what we wanted to run this year, I brought that idea up. The top fuel cars hadn't been re-released from AW yet, so that idea wasn't even in our thoughts. And, just for reference, the original voltage we thought the DS cars should be run at was 22 to 24 volts (actually, at the first DS event, Sam's meter on his track showed the voltage at closer to 26 volts I believe!). But, I understand why they can't be run that high on shorter tracks. Now that the short 'history lesson' is over...lol...I LIKE those plates on that Dodge! With any luck, I am gonna try REAL hard to make a 'road trip' up to Eagle's track, at least for his race coming up. Would be REAL cool to actually be a part of one of these races 'in person'! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Hey Matt, I was actually using that number as a 'general' range in that it's 'up there' in the top amounts of entries. I think we had close or slightly over that (in the high 30's I believe) at one of the earlier Gasser races too. I vaguely remember that SS race tho, I think I entered it, if I did it was one of my first races. I do remember I found this site in 2007, and I was hooked forever...LOL. Ron (Bondo)
