I got the Trackmate Basic timing system and found a laptop pretty cheap to put it on. It works great. Now it is time to go to the hobby shop and buy some more land (summer grass that is). I also found a great train software program for building any type structure. The shack pictured is paper and chip board glued.

Got my software for building my track structures. This is really cool it allows you to build just about any structure. The first building will be the track race tower. I think am going for a semi run down old look ;D

The race tower has been built. Stone walls are being built for safety. Those will go on the outside of the foam board that the summer grass will be glued to. This will boarder the track. The bleachers are being designed and will be built next. Then a garage/pit area will be built. The entire track sets on a black slate top.

The software is called Model Builder. I purchased it a Micro-Mark. Learning curve is small and the software designer supports it with how to videos. The building are in true 1/64th scale all you do is select your scale. It even shows you how tall an average person would be in that scale next to a building, very cool.

Thanks pceng, the program I use does all the weathering. All you have to do is select the look you want and print. Finished my bleachers and garage for pits yesterday, pics to follow soon.

Just a pic of Blacktop Raceway. All buildings pictured, stone safety walls also pictured. These are just in the pic area of the track. The rest of the track will has a 5" lexan barrier the length of the track to keep cars on the track and not on the floor. The power supply is also pictured. We are gearing up to run our first race. This will be our trial run for a proxy race later.
