Thank you Jeff, Peter and Tom for checking out the web page to promote our racing. The rest of you please check out the page and give me some feed back. If I have missed any current tracks I will get you later. I ran over my 1GB limit and have to purchase some more memory. I know I need to pickup Alan's Maple Grove and Sam's new track under construction. Alan's photo's have all been deleted except poster. So I will just show the poster. Alan, I guess you moved all your photo's of the Open Track Race? I added Mockingbird Heights and ran out of memory.....Hmmmmm.....Doug you doing that curse stuff again?

Working on another Dodge Neon Pro Stock for a BSRT G3. This one will have the metal flake treatment. Thought I would try this out again. Using a little different technique. Pics will follow.

The picture shows the binder applied and the glitter.....I mean metal flake.... .....sprinkled on. I let this dry for 20 minutes. I then brush off excess. Then I will clear coat.....more pics to follow.

Hey Rob, talked to, Doug. Yep, race is on in Oct........... PM Hearse and Led Sleds (t-jet, Ratt rules),, skirted cars w/skinny tires......... may also.run Ratts with sleds for comparison........... or add a Ratt race and include sleds, but keep race for sleds separate........
Hmmmmmmmm.........lol (had to), WHY ANY IDEAS ? ? ?
When Doug and I first talked about the sleds. I was leaning towards a more modified build. But he and, Cordell. Set-up a Ratt rule sled race....... should be fun, the skinny tires.......... ready for some laughs there..........

Here is a pic of the Dodge Neon being cured in our $1,000,000 curing chamber..... ....Okay it only $30 bucks. I can cure the clear coat in 2 minutes. I found a BMW paint system used a self leveling clear coat and cured it with UV lights. It only cost aroung $3000 for that system. I says to myself heck the ladies been doing that to their nails for years, why not slot cars.....

Feel like I'm inside a bug zapper............... been thinking about a drying rack........ running out of places to keep bodies while drying.......... This is intresting....... how long are the bulbs ?

Peter the bulbs not counting the base are 5 inches long. It lays down pretty nice, you do have to build up in stages. I am not finished, next I will begin building up more and covering the decals. I just hope the clear coat does not take off the decals. I am liking this, it opens up a whole new realm off painting. Finally got some help from e-bay and got my old account that I have had since the year 2000 up and running, YEA!!!!

Here is the Dodge Neon Pro Stock with the decals. It is not perfect, but then none of my stuff is. The UV clear coat I think works really nice to cover up the roughness of the glitter. It gives it a nice deep look and it worked great over the decals.

LOL.....yes, it does look like traffic jam and that is exactly where those bodies are going. What you don't see are the ones already painted waiting for decals. This metal flake look is a lot of fun to me. It is not easy and you can mess up a car real fast. My next experiment will be multiple stripes with metal flake. I use a color wheel so I get proper color match's.
