Things have been crazy at the Blacktop. Gears, gears and more gears all custom fitted to the chassis. Got some racers out of Chicago area doing chassis work for. I am trying to get them to race the Summer Nationals.

Just updated www.eagleracing.us I was just thinking of how busy we are going to be this summer. I will cast no less than 10 brand new bodies. The new hydro dipping process is exciting. I have a lot of ideas for new patterns to try out. I still need to finish the new bronze 15T gear design. The 2015 Summer Nationals will be here before you know it. I need to get busy winding the motors for my Modern Funny Car.... This is fun!!

This was one of my first decal wraps. I also try to match any paint I may use. The way I match colors is to spray paint onto a piece of plastic. After it is dry I scan the paint chip into my paint program and then match it. This way I get as close a match as possible to the paint on the body. That way I can blend with paint any seams I have, if I want to. Sometimes a slight over lap of the wrap can create a pinstripe look and you may decide to leave it. This matching method also works for just making a white paper decal that may have a colored border. It can be made to match the paint.

Here is a pic of my humble hydro dipping set up in the shop. The tub for dipping, my air brush for spraying A &B activators. Wrong brush selected. I switched to high volume external brush, not scene. A digital thermometer did not work. I bought a new one at Wally World, a Taylor goes -40 to 450. These are tools you will need except printer not shown. The rest is just working out your technique. That is all trial and error.

Today in the Eagles shop finishing up some custom orders. I will then start back working on my hydro dipping technique. I feel I am getting closer to a perfect dip. I am also working on my own Activator B formula, save some money.... I am going dip my MM/PS Dodge Neon. I have been working on a new pattern. It is a vampire skull lying on the ocean bottom, light blue in color. I just have to get it to proper scale to look right. Oh almost forgot also working on a Matt Hines Pro Stock Motorcycle the Superman bike. My version will be the red with blue tank.

All new chassis setup in the work's. It takes a lot of testing and tuning for me to get this ride just right. I have not had to good of luck in the last several FED races. I hope to change that and at least make a better showing.

Got the bike taped off. I still need to trim tape around pipes etc. I will attempt to do a multi-color fade. I want to go lighter red than bike to orange fade with yellow tip. This is my take on the Superman bike.

Im am looking forward to the finished bike. These bikes are very cool. I want to build another one this fall, but I have too many other things in the works right now. Besides the G3 roller blew the budget....lol.
