Here is the new track.Track Specs:16' Timed section Rail height .013 Routed MDF board Floor enamel painted surface sanded smooth 2 - 12 volt industrial deep cycle batteries Trackmate timing system Round rail. The rail itself is .062 in diameter. From the edge of the slot to the rail is 7/32"

WHat are you using for rail ? I've heard of using tie wire from re-bar or mig welding wire. What do you recomend ?

Gonzo, On our new track we used .062" piano wire. This works great for rail. We used the rebar wire in the past and it worked ok but I'd go with piano wire if your looking to build a track. It's smoother sits flat and doesn't wear the pick up shoes like the rebar did.
