I know we are drag racing enthusiasts here, but we are all still racing fans. VERY sad news today. Indy car driver and Indy 500 winner Dan Wheldon has died from injuries sustained in a 15 car pileup at Las Vegas today. He was 33. The drivers were all concerned about the speeds these cars were reaching (225 mph) as well they should have been. It's one thing to go in a straight line (or try to) at 225, but it's completely different when you are turning left and going that fast. I'm not much of an Indy Car fan, but these things are about the most dangerous race cars there are. And this just proves my point. I admire these drivers for continuing to drive this kind of car. Even Danica Patrick is leaving this type of racing, today was supposed to be her last race (altho I have only heard that, don't know for sure). Anyway, here's a video of the crash. Not sure how long it will be up, in light of what has happened. Ron (Bondo)
