My first H.O. resin body to roll out of the body shop. The body is a Harry Canary Jr. piece, painted with House of Kolor silver and I mixed some heavy flake to give it the 60's look. I just ordered up some decals from RRR. I'll see if anything looks like it will belong on this nova once I have them in my hand. It rolls out of the paint booth and into the chassis shop where it will get a mean green arm, thunderbrushes, braided pickups, wheelie bars and possibly some poly mags. The goal for this car is to match it up against my Drag builder competition willys. I try to always have two similar cars so the can 'race' each other. Out from the paint booth goes the nova and in goes a 57 Chevy promod and a 2011 Camaro Prostocker. Although looking at that willys in the last pic it may need to head into the chassis shop to get the stance corrected so that nose is up in the air too.

Looks great! But then I'm partial to a silver car anyways. I might have to get that body, that one is kinda growing on me.

Well this one didnt go as planned. I used the green 3m masking tape to cover the white when I sprayed the blue. Looks to me like it bled a little bit lol. hmmm should I sand it down and give it another try ot finish out the details and clear it.

When I do striping with paints, I use Tamiya pin striping tape, use very very thin coats of paint, and take the tape right off. When it's still wet as to not pull any paint off with it.
Nova is looking awsome!!!!!
Rick's resin's are awsome!!!!

another thing that works good for spray cans is to warm them up before you spray. Hot water from a tap will do the trick. I fill an old coffee can with hot water and set the cans in there for 10-15 minutes. Shake the can for a few minutes then spray.

It was sprayed with a cheap airbrush I bought at northern tool years ago. Finally had an excuse to use it with these ho cars. Although I may switch back to rattle cans cause I'm already getting tire of cleaning this dang thing.
SKR - Thanks for the tips, I'm going to order that Tamiya tape and start over with it. That charger body in your picture is a very good looking piece nice job with it.
