Good morning, I am new to HO drag Racing but am anxious to get started. I have been a full scale drag fan for 45 years and realize I need to race but can't afford anything I can sit in. Is anybody interested in the greater Lansing Michigan area? I would love to set up a track or particpate in someone elses track. Wold love to conect with anyone interested. Let's go racing. Ed

Hey Ed, welcome to the madness. Think you'll have fun here. Good luck finding something close. If it becomes a problem you could give the NTRA proxy racing a try or maybe do so anyways. Alot of us don't have anything close but still race. Think there is close to 40 cars signed up for upcoming race in Febuary. Probably not to late to get in if you want. Good luck with your search.....................PC

Thanks PC and Nosubfor3 for the reply. I would love to proxy race but don't have any cars yet. Any suggestions? I love funny cars but need some advice on sources and some hop up tips. I am thinking about building or buying a home track. I am considering the John Force drag set but wonder if I would be better off with a non sectional track.

Hey Ed, If you are thinking of proxy racing check the NTRA rules and classes. Should give you an idea what you want to do. I think there are two classes for funny cars both 4g's. Different mods for each though. As far as the JF drag set everything I've seen here about it has been favorable. Consider the space you have for track and if it will have to be moved. ..................PC
