I don’t know if I did something or what but I was balancing an arm this morning, I spun the arm found the heavy side marked it spun it again but the arm kept pulling out of the plastic tube. I noticed room to move the arm deeper in the tube so I took it apart, fixed it and went back to balancing. The strange part is when I spun the arm again the heavy marked side was on top. I shrugged it off went back to grinding (sometimes I’m a little slow on the uptake) but as I continued the balancing what had happened was bugging me thinking that it shouldn’t happen. So to check it I spun the arm inside the plastic tube 180 degrees and gave it a spin to see where the heavy mark went. The heavy mark went 180 degrees so I moved it a quarter turn and checked it and sure as S*** the heavy side moved a quarter turn, every time I spun the arm inside the plastic the heavy side moved. I got out my razor blade setup but I wanted to see if anyone ever had this happen and what was the fix.

I posted that balancing trick a while back, and have since started useing aluminum tubing instead of the plastic. I don't think the quality control is that good and you may have a hole that is slightly off center, making one side of the tubing heaver than the other. It doesn't take much to get the heavy side to rotate down. That is my best guess. Dog
