Hey Guys , Just FYI.. Ihave been in contact with slot dragon, and ask them if they had any plans for MPH,well i get a text back from a guy named Daniel like in 3 hours, and he seem excited that i suggested MPH,we have been in contact for the past two days,And i really think they might make it an add on and make a deluxe system that includes MPH..This guys really seems very interested on doing it,I told him if they would include MPH,this could be a big seller .i told him they would only need another sensor per lane for the speed trap.but i think we are going to see an add on very soon or a deluxe version very soon.this guy is really nice and just keeps emailing me back.. keep our fingers crossed, could you imagine a stand alone system with MPH,reaction time, and ET for what they are charging? ? he agrees too that another sensor per lane would be not much more cost at all...anyway ill keep you guys updated.

Hey Scott, I've heard a lot about how much the guys there try to keep in touch with interested people and how fast they respond. That's a VERY good thing! Also means their 'customer service' should be good too. Not just one of those companies that just want to make money off of people. Actually, I would and definitely will still buy one, even though the mph readout would definitely make this even better! Just not sure how long it will take me to save up the cash. I'll probably use it with the track I was building before I got my AW set, and build the AW track as a 'portable' track, maybe take it to the real strip here to try to build up interest. Just with the original track I had I'd need to 'widen' the unit that fits under the track, as my track is wider than a standard track. I'm going to send the guys an email to see if that would be hard to do, or something they might need to do. Looking GOOD! Ron (Bondo)

I got mine today. Neat looking system. I don't see anyway to modify it to work with the AW system. ( But them I'm electronicly challenged) It'll be a while before I mess with it. Gotta get the track ready for the Winter Nationals. I'll see how things work out, we might do a couple of test runs after the big race just to see how it works, but for now we'll be using the AW start/finish system.

I have one ordered and it has been shipped. I look forward to having it set up at the Allentown Merchants Square slot car show on February 18 2012. if you can make this show, I'll try to have literature available as well. always good to have new products available at fair prices.

I've been in touch with Boone over at SlotDragon all weekend. He is going to 'custom build' the unit that holds the sensors to fit on my extra wide track! ;D Soooo... That means that within the next few months, hopefully "Lonestar Dragway" will FINALLY be up and running! ;D Looking at options for power supplies that I can actually afford. Been SERIOUSLY looking into using laptop chargers, one on each lane. I have found quite a few that are adjustable from 14 volt all the way up to 24 volt, with very little drop in amperage at the higher voltages. And, with one on each lane, it should work well. If the voltages are slightly off between the two, that's an easy fix with something along the lines of a 'rheostat' or similar. Basically, this would be an 'upgrade' to using "Wall Warts" with adjustable voltage. I am going to order one of these systems as soon as my income tax gets into my bank, should be this week! I am SOOOOO excited! ;D ;D ;D ;D Ron (Bondo)

There hasn't been much talk the last week about the new timing system. I know some of you were getting it, but haven't heard the final verdict on whether or not the system works with T-jets or not. The site says no, but some of you said that it does. Has anyone got one yet and what's the final word?
RACE WEEKEND IS ALMOST HERE! KEITH

Hey Keith. TGM has his but hasn't had time to put it together since he's hosting that race this coming weekend and has to get ready for that first. I do have one coming and me and Daniel, the guy there, are both looking into changing the sensors on it to see if different ones will work for the 'non magnet' cars. Matter of fact, I mailed him some of the little 'photo cell' things we were all gonna use on the 'cheap' timing method that's posted in a thread somewhere on here (this was before you joined I believe). He said he's gonna experiment with them to see if those will work or not. As it stands, although it has been stated that Tjets might work, chances are it would be 'hit and miss' with those. I think we'll just have to wait a little longer. As I said, I ordered mine on Saturday, and it will probly take two or 3 weeks to get it. So, just have to wait a little longer. Ron (Bondo)

I've got mine and I built the track so I can switch from the AW set up to the Slot Dragon. Depending on how things go with the race this weekend, we'll give it a try after eliminations to see how well it works, and, what it works with or doesn't.

I use reed switches on my road course, and Tjets work just fine with them Only cars that don't register are brass panned TycoPros.

So, if I understand this right, as long as there is a traction magnet, it will work. So an ultra- G, with one Neo magnet would work? I know I ask a lot of questions. But, a boy just has to know!

Keith, YEP, ANY car with a traction mag will work. I also was told that's it's possible that Tjets will work (was told that by Daniel, the guy that's there). He said that with HO the way the motor mags are so close to the track that they sometimes do work, even without trac mags. Banana, he also told me that reed switches can be used in place of their sensors to work too. I'm just not all that fond of that type of switch. I have heard both good and bad about reed switches (and all my personal experiences have been bad..lol). The ones I wanna use are the 'photo cells'. Course I'll have to drill a small hole for them in the track, but as small as they are it should be easy. SHOULD...lol. ;D Plus, I really don't wanna start 'modifying' something if it doesn't work and I screw up the main module. That thing is half the cost of that system! Ron (Bondo)
