I am new to the site and have learned a great deal about the sport already! Did an opportunity present itself to test this new timing system at this weekends races?

I regret to say we didn't get a chance to try it out. I just plain ran out of time. I'm going to try to get the track switched over to it and let everybody know how it works. I know a lot of people were looking forward to it.

How about a bracket racing option? With the new sensors, that would make this system pretty much perfect.

Think the bracket racing thing has been discussed. I was hopping for it so we could race whatever someone might want to. But if I remember the problem with it is the time involved with dial-ins. And the added burden of time could be aproblem for whomever might be hosting a race. ..........PC

Guys..a little update on this. If you go to the website order page for this system, you will see they now have available a new "Photo Eye Sensor" system. This works with ALL HO cars, even pancake cars. All you need to do is drill 3mm holes for the sensors to be glued in to the track from underneath. DEFINITELY a much needed option! And, while you're there, be sure to 'take note' of who the system is named after! ;D Ron (Bondo)

Got my Slot Dragon and man is it GREAT. Up and running in about 20 minutes. Had a bad sensor and was replaced very fast. He is updating the main control box and is sending me one. It eliminates the extra power supplies to the "Bondoman" sensors. Only trickey part is getting sensors in right lanes. I have it set up on 16' Auto World track w/3' shut down. Shut down is just 3' of track with the rails removed. I highly recommend the system. Can't beat it for racing or just testing. Super quality for a fantastic price! Bob

Hey Bob. If for some reason you don't get that 'updated' part soon enuff, or at all, I can email you the how to to do it yourself. As long as you can solder, all it takes is an inch long 'jumper' wire. Daniel sent it to me in my email, but I also got a printed version in the mail. Glad you like the sensor setup. After all, it is MY name on them! ;D And, Daniel and all the people there are VERY supportive of racers. Which will go a LONG way to being a popular system! (haven't had a chance to hook mine up yet, building a new routed mdf track now) Ron (Bondo)

Hi guys. i received my slot dragon systym and finaly got it running. The ;problem is the vibration of the cars activates the timing system before the car reaches the end of the track.A 3 inch dead strip that came with the track fixed that problem. My question is can I cut a new dead strip abouit a half inch before the sensor and put joint wires underneith it. Right now it is at 3 inch dead strip in front of sensor and I think thats too much. what do you think. Besides that its a great system and the sensors work great. Only cars tha have problems are dragsters. the sensor picks the dragster up twice because of front spoiler and the rear of the car. I stage the car from the rear shadow of the dragster, and then it works. The best remedy would be to put the sensor in the rail slots in the middle of track. This means lifting up the track a little.

Till June 4th, system will be shipped from the states, instead of Thailand. Should make it to your house in a week or less, depending on where you live. If you've been contemplating getting this, now would be a good time to order.
