It might be early in the year gor this, but I think I have seen it mentioned before now. Match races, the only ones I've seen were at, Lions, end of last season. So I guess Rick, is the one to know how much of a pain holding match races along with running whatever classes are on the progam really is, and what kind of burden it can be. If any of our current scheduled track hosts are willing to run match races along with the scheduled classes and take on this additional burden. Perhaps they could let us know who they are and how many match races they would be willing to add to the event (maybe you guys should first check with, Rick). After all the track hosts should be the ones who decide if they are going to run match races and how many. Was thinking that match races would be a great way for our members to run cars not on the schedule, be they NTRA or not. Not sure how many might be intrested in match racing. But if the approximate number is known then maybe all that are intrested in match racing can get a shot. If alot of people are intrested in running in a match race and the number of available races for the year is know. Then filling a roster for these races ahead of time seems like the fair thing to do for all. Think it would be harder for anyone to miss out on a race like this, vs. the posting of available spots for races close to race time. I know that as much as I'd like to I don't get to spend time on the NITROSLOTS site every day. Sometimes its days in between visits. As I'm sure it is for most everyone, having things to do. So if we had an early schedule for match races, one might miss a race because of spots being filled but know that he is on schedule for next race. One less thing to worry about before a race, trying to catch the posting of available spots, if even ther are going to be any. More time to spend on tunning for race. I know that it's a choice between either work on the cars or look up NITROSLOTS when I have time. Think what we need is imput on this from all that might be intrested. The more of it and faster it comes can only help to get whatever is going to happen underway. GOOD LUCK to all going to the Winter Nationals..........PC

Wow, after seeing some not make cut off for races (match) at end of last season. And seeing it mentioned this year thought it was going to be big this year. Guess I was wrong about that. .............PC

Hey PC, put this over in the NTRA area. I think you'll get more responses there. Also, I think at this moment, everyone is 'thrashing' to get their cars ready for the race next weekend. The board in general has been pretty quiet lately. I decided to sit this race out as I have had so much going on, plus my resin stuff seems to be 'taking off' WAY better than I thought it would. So my time is at a premium at this moment. ;D Personally, I think it's a GREAT idea, but some people think of 'match' racing as 'grudge' racing and don't think it should be pre-arranged. In reality, the NHRA match racing of the '60's was usually always pre-arranged. The drivers were paid to be there and put on a show. A lot of drag racers made their living that way. Too bad WE can't get paid for racing OUR cars huh? ;D Ron (Bondo)

Hey guys, Don't really know how to move post, in fact I haven't got a clue. If someone can do this TIA! Ron, hope those resins take off like a rocket for you. Do hope you find time for racing though. Match or grudge racing, think the ones we had last year were a blast. I know that I'm in this for the fun. Reading the results from our trackmaster makes my weekend everytime. Can't really see how we could call this grudge racing, though I guess some might look at it that way. I think in the 60's the word "grudge" was used more for hype than anything. But whatever we might end up calling it we need to hear from all concerned if everyones going to get a shot at it. "Sjracer", mentioned magnatraction/Xtraction. I'm not sure exactly what these are because of missing so much of the evolution of HO cars. But I'm sure someone else is into these. Think this is another reason for match racing. Different age groups probably know one type of chassis beter than another. And we do seem to have a diverse group as far as ages go. Ron, I know you seem to be big into 4g's and hope your back on the circut soon. "Sjracer", is looking for someone that thinks they can run with his magnatraction. And "eddieb" might just be mad at someone (just kidding bud). I have NTRA t-jet pro-mods waiting for a race since joining NITROSLOTS. Hope we can work this out to everybodys satisfaction. Just though the sooner the better. ..............PC

PC, no problem at all. I am a big fan of grudge racing. I like the secrecy of times not being shown, big bets, the fact that races can be made between cars of different classes, and of course the trash talk. I don't have any P/M TJets right now but I am working on a D/S 4 gear. Maybe we can work out a race? Lol!

I'm ALWAYS ready for a race...lol. Just that this race came up a little 'quick' for me, and it wasn't so much the resin stuff that deterred me entering, it was really the 'other' stuff. But, that looks like it's smoothed out quite a bit so I will DEFINITELY be at the next races! In the works is a Top Fuel car, a Funny Car (the modern class), and the 'Pistonator' is getting a COMPLETE rebuild! You guys won't even know it's the same car..lol. The chassis, arm, and mags will be the same, EVERYTHING else is NEW! Along with another DS car. And, in the next race that is running the 'modified sportsman' cars, I WILL be there too! Cars are close to being finished (2 of them). Still can't get into the 'stock' class cars, so probly won't even bother with those..lol. I DID have a REAL fast PM Tjet that was sent to Jim for that 'shootout' a few months ago, but it was 'carjacked' on the way back to me and I have NO idea where it's at! And Jim doesn't have any idea either. Too bad, it was FAST too! (Jim got it to run .70's or somewhere around there) Oh, and the Magna traction/Xtraction cars are just AFX cars if that helps you understand what they are PC. We do have one race setup in the schedule for them this year, the "King of the Street" event. Not to mention, "Lonestar Dragway" should be 'opening up' within the next few months, so I will be able to test my stuff, along with having 'regular' races too. Maybe, with any luck, the track will become NTRA sanctioned, and be a part of the circuit for 2013! I think the Racemasters of each track need to 'chime in' on this to see about getting these matches setup BEFORE the race date. My DS cars are ALWAYS up for match races! Ron (Bondo)

I actually enjoy all the different classes especially the four gear. I mentioned the magnatraction/xtraction class because I haven't seen it represented and thought it might be a fun stock class. I remember thewre was a desire to keep classes inexpensive and I thought that class might help.
