Cold weather has slowed progress. I have managed to get a decent power supply 0-30volts. Now the shut area is a problem over 18volts. I can do a scale 1000ft with plenty of run-off. Running some 4-gears today.

Nice video! The cave and the track are looking great. The official at the end of the track isn't bad either (seems a little stiff though). Good looking collection of cars you have. Hopefully, an event can be worked into next years schedule there.
Did you make a decision on a timing system?

Ninja, she's cut off below the knee's so she can't run away and she has no voice box! She's nearly perfect!! Yes I have been having thoughts of holding a race here and could well be on the cards for next year. Waiting to hear a review from someone on the Slotdragon set up before I commit to anything. I'd really like a remote tree but can't afford the big dollar system! Thank you Rick, that is high praise coming from you. I have always admired your stuff.

Mock-up of an idea for a grandstand! Crowd scene down the bottom and corporate boxes above. I have to get this sorted so I know where to run some of the wiring!

Dave I'm digging your cave no pun intended ;D I love those controllers under the track. The grand stand idea is cool it will be quite interesting to see how you finish it out.

Slotdragon system arrived today. Can see one problem straight away! Photocells are bigger than expected. If you set them in the track so the cars(I used a Tyco chassis) don't touch the sensors, the sensor wires protrude below the underside of the track. So with the sensors fixed in the track the wiring will raise the track. I could see this causing someone headaches I will router a recess in the MDF to suit the wiring on my track. I really like the adjustable sensors. If they are reliable I will buy another set of the sensors to replace the sensors on my other track. All going well I hope to test the timing gear this weekend!
