Still have to fix the track back down. Quick test and system seems to work fine. Hope to get a racing buddy here and run some laps before I fix everything back down.    |

Hey Dave, how are you mounting the track down? Trying to figure out the best way to mount mine. Thought about drilling and screwing, and countersinking the screw holes in the track, but was concerned that when I try to 'bevel' the edges of the screw holes on the track if it would break the track, or the bit will drill too fast and pull through the hole and make it too big. Don't wanna glue it down, as that would make it non removable. Gonna be a few months til I get mine up anyway, as I plan on finding a house to move into by April, but maybe I can do a few sections at a time to make it easier later. I LIKE the looks of the Cave so far! Can't wait to see everything all finished!   Ron (Bondo)  |

Thank you Ron. Sorry can't really help ya there! My track is glued to the shelf surface. I like Wazzers idea with the wire!

Tracks looking good Dave. With the detail that you put into your cars.... this track will be a stunner once it is finished. Keep us posted.

 What I'm really diggin, is the Viewing stand. I can't wait to see this cave all done. But, then again, we all know that a good man cave can never have too much of anything. Always a work in progress. Excellent job Dave. Keith

GREAT touch with the lights Dave!  ;D If you don't mind me asking, what lights are those? I was thinking of doing some lights with clear Christmas sets (I have close to 30 extra sets, ranging from 20 light sets to 300 light sets, from the wife buying them in the past when they were on 75 to 90 percent clearance! lol), but they do look somewhat 'awkward' for lack of a better word.
