Hello race fans The crew has started to prepare the track for the Spring Nationals. Here is a little info that may help you in your builds. The timed section is only 10 foot ,1/8 Mile. The surface is Corian. We normally run any ceramic magnet class at 13.8 volt but we are going to change that for the nationals. Stock will be run at 13.8 volts Doorslammers will be run at 18 volts due to the lenght of the track. Cars are to quick at 22 volts for this class. We tried it to much for the cars. We the crew are looking forward to holding this race for our fellow racers. At least Wood won't win LOL Sorry buddy. Don't forget the T-N T April 14th. Good Luck to all from BlueWood Racing Team.

Thanks for posting this Blue. At least it's early enough to rebuild my Doorslammers, since all 3 I've been working on are built to run 22v plus. Actually thinking I might be better off to start building two 'sets' of cars, since with this years schedule, it looks like there's only one or two tracks that can actually run these at the higher voltages. But, since I operate on a budget of..well...real close to $0.00...LOL, don't think building 'multiple' cars is really an option either. Kinda my own fault, in my 'zest' to build cars to race this year, I failed to look at the specs of the tracks we're running at this year. Most aren't really setup to run the high voltages. Guess I got spoiled since the first race we ran these at was Psychoslots! I sure do miss that track. Not complaining, I DO understand the reasoning behind this. Rather see slower times than destroyed cars! Actually, they would be slower anyway since this is an eighth mile track. And, this DOES help me with the building of my own track, since mine will only be an 1/8 mile as well. ;D Heck, I'm just glad that this year, we actually HAVE more than one or two tracks to race at! And, YES, I will STILL be there! (well, my cars will be anyway..lol) Ron (Bondo)

Blue, Just saw all the cars all ready entered. Maybe you have inspired more hope than you thought with the mention of the BlueWood team not being in race. Looking forward to the race as I have the next one every time since joining. ..........PC

To anyone at home testing we built a couple of Door slammers and at 18v on the scale 1000' we're going about .499 - .550. Now that's only two nights testing but if your cars close to that it's pretty fast.

Wood, WHat do you do at the TEST & TUNE? Is it worth me sending my cars to you ahead of time?

I've only missed one t-n-t I think. Invaluable feed back, especially if you don't have a track to test on. What's going to happen at ours is we'll run it and make sure it gets down the track. Then look it over and make minor changes and get a few more runs in it and note ET changes. Then we'll write up a note pertaining to any major changes we would make. At this point we will steal any secrets and add them to our Borg collective then get them sent back.
As far as sending them in early you can but they're only getting worked on during the official test and tune time.

Hey tazman, the cars are the same ones for both the test n tune and the upcoming race in May. Stock Tjets, and Doorslammers. Normally, I wouldn't worry about it and just send mine to the race. BUT, seeing as how I completely rebuilt the Pistonator, and the other car is brand new, along with the fact that it's an eighth mile, along with being a corian surface...that means I have absolutely NO idea how my cars will do! LOL! So, they're both ready to be loaded up within the next week. May even get some 'spy' shots of the cars being loaded in the 'NEW' Lonestar Racing 18 wheel hauler! Sure do wish I woulda known if the Pistonator was faster on the 'big end' or at the '60 foot' mark when it ran at Psychoslots last year. If it ran better at '60 foot', that means the eighth mile track would be NO prob! (obviously '60 foot' applies to the first sensor before the finish line sensor, if the track has one...lol. Not even sure my car would still be running after an 'actual' 60 foot race! ) Ron (Bondo)
