Tonight will be the first time in over a year that I've drag raced slot cars. I'm a little familiar with the track being that it is the old PSD drag strip. Looking forward to it.

Thanks fellas. Well did I catch the bug again?............ but of course. Rick & Diane now house the track and have renamed it "CDR Drag Strip". Rick & Diane offer a great place to race. The driver stand is now behind the starting line with the tree being elevated around eye level sitting between both lanes. Three monitors of the race action with one over sized screen at the end of the track made it easy to see the race results. Thanks to Rick & Diane for their generous hospitality. It was great to kick back and share a few laughs and talk a little shop with old racing buddies. I'll be back again next week. Here are some pictures that I took throughout the night. CDR Drag Strip stands in the middle with walking room on both sides. Some Bracket cars ready to make a pass. Bracket Finals. Dan the man in the far lane with his Dodge Truck and my Mustang in the near lane, I was fortunate to steal this win from Dan. Pro Slow Final. My Ford Hot Rod takes the win over Rick's Chevy. NF/C Rick in the near lane going up against Diane during eliminations. NF/C Final. Rick's Dodge powers by Dan's Chevy for the win. Did someone say MM/PS? Both my entries made it to the finals with the Motor Craft Mustang taking the win. Pro Mod Final. Diane's Wicked 70.5 Camaro up against Dan's "Big Bird". The Camaro takes down the Bird running an impressive E.T. Logged in members can see this track when it was PSD to view past records and race results here: nitroslots.com/index.cgi?board=isra

Good to hear you are able to get in some racing. Opening up with a couple wins, nice start. Hope to see you get in a few races with NTRA in 2013.

Great to have you back in the neighborhood, Sam! Winter's coming and it's going to be too cold for bike riding in Colorado, so you should spend more time in the basement laboratory. Track looks great, cars are terrific!
Cheers, Rick V.
