I am was just getting into 1/24 slot car drag racing and loving it. Then I moved.
There are no tracks close by so I have decided build my own. I do not have the room for a 1/24 scale track but do have room for a HO track. I excited and want dive in head first into the world of HO drag racing.
So here is my question and where I need the advice of you long time HO drag racers.
I plan to build a permanent track and am a reasonably good wood worker. Do you recommend building the entire track. Or should I build the super structure (legs etc.) and buy the pre-made track such as the John Force track with extensions. I have heard that there are ways to fine tune the pre-made track by sanding rails etc.
Would love your input.

This is what I did. If you want to race now.
1. Buy plastic track set up on shop bench's. 2. Build cars to race in NTRA 3. Enter race get doors blown off 4. Build better cars 5. Enter race get doors blown off 6. Repeat until you WIN ;D
Best wood shelf with plastic track checkout Kiwidave Cave thread.
