Paul Kniffen from Max Trax sent me tracking info and an estimated delivery time of Monday Sept 21 for the track. Now that was super quick!! Roughly 1 week from time of order to delivery.....that's some service!! I'm really not sure if I can wait till end of October to do this........

New project in the shop.......Eagle Racing resin '48 Fiat Altered. I have never done a build like this one. It will be on a weighted stock Super G+ / Viper platform.....no traction magnets. Still some cleanup left to do on the body. I just put the first coat of primer on it. Chassis is ready for testing. Going to have some fun with this build. Also working on a 2008 Mustang Pro Stock as a new body for my #2 MM/PS. The clock is ticking down for the Colorado Double Header!!

'48 Fiat Altered is done. I still have some tuning to do on the chassis. This is a BSRT GJet type setup, but the chassis is a mixture of SG+ and Viper parts. No traction magnets other than the motor magnets. I am almost done with tuning for the Colorado Double header......only the Match race cars left to do. I'm happy with the way the Fiat Topo turned out. Only a few problems with some of the decals. I know what I am doing wrong, so it is still a work in progress as far as getting them just right. This car was painted with nail polish lacquer "Blue Blaze". I am loving that stuff. Once thinned properly it goes on super sweet!! Looking forward to the upcoming race in Colorado!!

As always thank you Randy for the good word! It is because of your suggestions in the past that I even tried the polish.....or lacquer paints in general. Sam has also promoted lacquer paint. I listen when you guys talk believe me!! I have been using the sanding sticks for awhile now, but something that my wife brought me was some sanding sponges (think thats what they're called). Those work very well too. You turned loose of some of your decal techniques recently that I will be trying as well. I appreciate the tips.

Yes Al those are PSCR wheelie wheels. I am putting them on most of my custom builds. Those particular ones are in a kit that includes axle, bushings, wheels, and tires.

Just finished setting up and tuning (5) AW 4gear chassis for a racer in Waukegan, Ill. I was linked up with this racer by Eagle Racing to do a series of chassis set ups and full body/chassis builds over the next couple of months. I am flattered to be asked to say the least! Base cars were sent to me and I blueprinted chassis, made modifications, added custom Eagle Racing parts, and tuned. 4 of the chassis have the cluster rivet replaced with brass rod and bonded. 3 of those are using brass 20/12 cluster gears and the other one a stock AW cluster. They use a brass pin to hold gear in place. A very solid design by Eagle Racing and built by myself. Let's see how they hold up to some Illinois club racing. The last chassis is using an AJ Racing Tjet style custom cluster plate. This design has survived 2 NTRA seasons in the unlimited 4g class. Running modified AFX 15t crown on 3 of the builds. 3 cars are running motors that are too hot for the stock crown gear (2.8ohm - 3.0ohm Eagle Racing Motors), but that was what was sent to me. 1 is running a 4 ohm also by Eagle Racing and the last is a mean green. All cars using ceramic magnets and I was very surprised at the performance of these low ohm arms with only ceramic magnets. All cars running on Eagle Racing silly foams and Robert outdid himself on these! They are beautiful. (2) Top Fuel, (2) Funny Car, (1) Pro Stock. Fun and a little scary building cars for someone else, but I am anxious to see how they perform when they start their Winter Series up north. Now it's time to put down that awesome new Max Trax dragstrip!! Bear Creek rebuild version 3 starts next week.

Did the demo on the sectioned track last week and any of the modifications to the table that were needed for the new track. Finally pulled all the track out of the box and laid it out out. I still need to secure it to the table but all the joining pins are in. Getting hardware this morning. Should have track operational today or tomorrow. Then it's just detail work. This Max Trax track is absolutely beautiful!! My IR emitter gantries have to be altered to work with the wider track. I will be adding striping and changing the color of the concrete areas to add some contrast to the light gray track. I am looking forward to running some cars for sure. First race on new surface will be our THODRA final race of the season 1st or 2nd week of Dec.

Preliminary layout.....checking wire routing, etc. Decided to put the display at the finish more like a real track. Display is large and very visible. Tree had to be located further down the track than I wanted because of cabling, but it is also very visible and turned out to be pretty good. Looking really good Jeff. I posted this pic from your track at the beginning. Bear Creek has come a long way since then. All the upgrades have been fun to watch. Thanks for sharing.
