Race team headed to Thunder Road. Had to make a few last minute changes. I saw that my wheelie bars for Gassers were too long and had to shorten them lastnight. Always something. Looking forward to the race for sure and seeing everyone's cars!! Good luck!

Getting ready to build 2 more Infra Red Emitter boards for Blacktop Raceway. Eagle has been having some trouble with the Trackmate units he is currently using. I have not had any problems with the one's that I fabricated for my track at the beginning of this year. In fact they have worked flawlessly and allowed me to raise the gantry further above the track for better views and pics of the cars. Will post a simple "how to" in case anyone is interested.

New project in the garage. I've been itching to do this one for awhile, just wasn't sure what I wanted to do. This is a Hairy Canary resin 1962 Chevy C10 Pro Mod. This is going to be another turbo car. I've done several turbo cars lately and it's not that I like turbos that much....it's more about trying to do something a little different. Also this truck has a nice cowl induction hood that I did not want to cut up. Instead of cutting the turbos into the grill I decided to put intakes into the hood. Turned out looking pretty cool. Parachutes have been removed from the wing and the struts shortened. One more primer and it's ready for the booth. Doing another Wedge dragster along with the truck as well.

Well here we go again. Bear Creek is going to get a facelift one last time. It hasn't even been a year yet since the last rebuild. I know....I know.....I should have just done this the last time, but I had some other things going on with the budget that didn't allow it. I will be active in this hobby probably the rest of my life now and with all of these awesome continuous rail tracks around, I just could not resist anymore. So what I've done is emailed a few of the main track builders and of the one's that responded I have chosen Max Trax as my next track. I also spoke with 3 knowledgeable members of Nitroslots. None of them had anything bad to say about Max Trax and 2 of the 3 said it would be their preference. Enough said! I have ordered the track as of today, but will not start the rebuild till after the Colorado Double Header and our club race in late in October. I have been extremely happy with the performance of my Tomy sectioned track. It has worked perfectly, been consistent, and is fast for a sectional. Who could ask for more? But I am very excited to be moving into the relm of the continuous rail dragstrip!! I can hardly wait.

I've actually been thinking about this for awhile, finally got to the point that I could pull the trigger. Thank you Al for your help, your comments were what I was looking for to help me decide. I spoke with Paul via the phone and Cheryl through email. Very nice people.
