A new build in the garage. It is a Hilltopspeedway '69 Camaro Pro Stock/Mod. My version will be blown Pro Mod w/lexan windows instead of inserts. I am lucky to have this body and I've been looking forward to doing it since I got it. It's flawless.....just prime and shoot. Brainstorming on paint, but I think I will keep it simple and work on my paint application with the airbrush.

Here are a few pictures of the '69 Camaro Pro Mod that I just finished. My wife really liked the Camaro body so I built this one for her. Car is called Leihua's Lunatic Fringe. As with all of my projects, I had issues here and there. But I am still very much in a learning curve and just can't settle on doing a single color car. So it is what it is till I get better . Paint application was better with this one, but I am still having trouble with my paint lines coming out clean. I lowered the car and added a few things from the original version. This car will run at Pikes Peak in October.

Found this adhesive film material at a local privately owned (the best kind) hobby shop. I believe it is used on RC planes and rockets. He had all different colors. These are the colors that I originally wanted to go with but could not find anything but red, white, and black. Also could not find yellow pinstriping. He had several rolls of various widths. I love that place. Started working on my PSO last weekend. Pretty much had to change the whole setup to make room for all the add ons. I have car going down the track smooth now. Significantly faster. Still have final tuning. FED is on the desk now. Thanks for the good words.

Dream Crusher Mustang and Match race cars are getting final tuning today. MF/C is my NF/C Cuda chassis with a lowered Courtney Force Mustang body, Grape Ape just ran in N.Z. Hopefully I can find some more power in both cars. F.E.D. is the same car that has run before. It is running strong, I gave it some new braid and a tune up. Really looking forward to seeing the 4g Outlaws run!!

With PSO #3 done and all the cars headed back to their homes, it's time to focus ahead to Pike's Peak Dragway and the High Altitude Nationals. Both Doorslammers are getting a complete overhaul. New braids, wheels, gears, gear set up, a few new mods.....let's hope it pays off. This is the #2 car that is in pieces. It will run the '69 Camaro body. Might run the Spellbound Biscayne body on the #1 car or maybe something Halloween oriented. I love the Doorslammers!
