is the t-bird a modded tyco body or one of your creations ? The Thunderbird is a Tomy SG+ Nascar body that I modded. That was the first body of mine to be cast. I originally made it for Eagle Racing and then I eventually started casting it myself. The Mustang is also a modded AW 4g Carfitti body (yuk). Another early build attempt. Here is the Tbird in the early stages. Pretty simple stuff on that one.

A couple of new projects on the desk. Going to do an AJR Beretta and something a little different....a 67-68 Suburban. A lot of canvas on this one ! This beauty is a Hilltop Speedway casting. I have no idea what I am going to do on either one of them. Low and mean is the theme.....

Very nice Rich! I reworked the mounts as well. The body was loose and I wanted it to sit lower than stock anyway. Don't need a body clip now either. What is the white car on the left?

Spent the whole day in the garage at the track tuning. Cleaned up the track and went through every car. The time spent over the last couple of weeks has been getting cars to a baseline starting point. Every inline is a completely new combination. I was able to make some pretty significant gains with the cars. I enjoyed the day and am looking forward to the race even more.
These are my two Index cars. I needed some slower cars so I looked for something heavy and a Mopar.....LOL . I'm kidding. Couldn't resist the jab.
Pontiac Firebird AJR road warrior and a new Ford Thunderbird build make up the 2.5 entries.

Some great looking cars there Jeff. I especially like the van body and I agree with Gale the paint job on the Firebird is great. I would just like to also say that your work area is a lot tidier than mine

Cars are being loaded in the hauler tonight for departure tomorrow morning to Tennessee. Left to right: Pantera/Stock, Torino/Super Stock, Thunderbird/2.5, Firebird/2.5. Back row: Challenger (3g)/Index, Ford Panel (Tjet)/Index, List cars.
Hitching a ride are Mazda's U.K. Chevy's. They stayed in Texas and spent a little time in the AJR garage since we weren't sure if they would have time to make the turnaround. Good thing since the cars from my race just now made it back.

Race week in Tennessee and I needed something to keep me busy. Been wanting to do this for a very long time and I'm finally seeing some of these long awaited projects come together. I got new wheels and tires for '64 C10 two weeks ago. They are sweet! This week and into the weekend I am rebuilding the front end (it's never been done) and lowering the truck 3" front and rear. Yesterday was day one and it kicked my a**!! Like I said this has never been done. This the first time in 56 years some of this stuff has had a wrench on it. Almost done with one side. I know this isn't slot car stuff or race oriented, but I'm pretty excited about this and thought I would share. The truck has been in the family since it was brand new.

Nice truck. Those wheels do look sharp on there! Does she have a twin sister that you can hook me up with? Starting to have the classic car blues. Again. Bet you been going through a lot of WD40. Sometimes I would soak the parts for a few days prior to starting a project.
