Here is the finished twin turbo Thunderbolt Pro Mod. With every new race and build, I'm having to do new things. Several firsts for me on this one. Next up...finishing the Thunderbird. Trying to get all the painting...body stuff done so I can focus on tuning. Running 7 cars at the Summer Nationals.

Jeff, That car is AWESOME looking and if it only runs half as good as it looks you'll be the winner for sure. Can't wait to see that T-Bird. I love building these Doorslammers and seeing all the builds from other racers. Could you tell me what the min weight is for a Doorslammer?

Phantom, I believe the min weight on the DS class is 25 grams but not real sure (it was originally set at that weight but not exactly sure if the rules were changed since then as I haven't been keeping up lately). That Tbolt looks REAL nice and I can't wait to see that Tbird either JJ! I'm in the process of getting all my cars back in shape for the upcoming race as I've just this week FINALLY been able to unpack my hobby stuff after my move! What a MESS!! LOL. Also..Lonestar Resins will be back up and running VERY soon, with some brand new castings to go along with the 'reopening'! Ron (Bondo)

I feel the same way about all of these builds, but I am partial to the Doorslammers too. A little more room for creativity. I also like seeing all the different builds everyone is working on. Keep us updated on your stuff as well. Minimum weight on Doorslammer is 25 grams like bondoman said. Good luck this weekend!!

Hope your move went well....I hate moving. Looking forward to seeing you back in the races. Tbird looks good so far...a few blemishes made it past me before paint, but I'm going to roll with it anyway. This is your mold ( very nice idea on this one by the way ), but this particular one has had a rough life. It got smashed at some point in time ( since I've had it ), but it is such a unique car that I had to try and save it from car crusher. I did change up the rear end a little, but the rest is all yours. I think I actually got the body from last years Summer Nat'l race. Been sitting on my desk since then. Look forward to seeing your new castings!

Finally finished with painting. I set my deadline for June 30 so I can tune in July. Doorslammers are completed....just finished the '62 Tbird. Next quick project is on the track. I am relocating the start line optical sensors to the slot and changing my light source. This will hopefully eliminate any double counting that can occur with some of the dragsters. I also had a lot of light leakage that would sometimes trigger the sensors. Going to try led light. I believe this setup will work better with the way I have my lighting set up. I will document the mod in case anyone is interested in trying it. Also I will post results. Leaving finish line setup as is. Here are a couple of pics of the latest build. RACE IS 25 DAYS AWAY!!

Tbird came out great! Looks fast sitting still. I'd like to know how your sensor location works out?
