I'm just getting into HO drag racing . I've been 1/24th drag racing for several years .
My wife bought me an AW drag strip and I'm about to have an imprompto drag meet running T-Jets and Magnatractions .
I've read anywhere from 12 to 22 volts for operation . What is a good number .
Thx Gonzo

For those cars the factory voltage that came with the set is just about right. Skinny tired T-Jets might spin a little but the Magna Tractions should just take off.You don't really need a lot of power for those cars. It's when you step up to mean green arms, poly mags, or even just the Super G 's that you'll need more voltage and amps.

Hey Gonzo, voltage you decide on is really a personal choice. I believe it is the racemaster who decides on the voltages used for our proxy racing. Depending on tires and cars used, tire spin can be a major problem if to high of a voltage is used. If its not a problem, I'd say - TURN IT UP ! set the horses loose. Maybe someone else will give you a better answer, personally I like going faster.
hope this helps ............ PC

Thx for the responces .
My wife bought ne the AW drag strip so I can race at home . I race 1/244th scale raegularlly .
I was thinking of starting out slow , (T-Jets and Magnatractions ) . I'm going in inexperienced . After learning the ropes , I'd probably step it up to inlines .
My concern was that all I have are wall warts for power orrrrr , a 12 volt dry cell battery .
I might mention that I'll be running the scale 1/8th mile .
Thx Gonzo
